Lyallpur Khalsa College , Jalandhar on Thursday organising sports events of the students of I.T and Computer Science Department.

Jalandhar, February 20, 2014: Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar today organised sports events of the students of I.T and Computer Science Department, keeping in mind the ideology of fitness through sports and games along with studies .
The function was named Annual Fitness@I.T. (Fitness @IT) Programme. 25 Students of the I.T and Computer Science participated in the various games organised. The President, Governing Council Balbir Kaur was the Chief Guest and while in her speech she said that along with Technical Courses to keep fit and health Sports, exercises should also be our routine. The College Principal Dr Gurpinder Singh Samara said that along with Technical Courses the participation in the Sports events keeps the students healthy .He said that in the present arena the Sportsman are paid in Lacks for their performances and winning Medals fetch them crores.
Manohar Singh, Head of the Department of I.T and Computer Science organised the sports meet. In the sports meet Cricket Match, 100 Meter Run, 200 Meter Run by both Boys and Girls, Sack Race, Kho Kho and other games were organized. The winners were given prizes by the College Principal Dr G.S.
