Chandigarh, June 18, 2013: The Punjab government has decided to launch an intensive investment campaign to woo global investors in pursuance of approval of fiscal incentives for industrial promotion 2013.
According to an official spokesman a global investment conference is being organised in the month of October. The Punjab government today constituted a high level committee to chalk out the programme for global investors conference and to engage knowledge partner for investment campaign.
He informed that to supervise the process of selection of the knowledge partner a selection committee has been appointed. MD Punjab Infrastructure Development Board has been appointed as the Chairman of this committee. MD/Punjab Energy Development Authority, MD/Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation, Chief Administrator Greater Mohali Area Development Authority and MD/Punjab Agro Industries Corporation Ltd have been appointed as members of the said committee. MD/Punjab Infotech Corporation Ltd has been appointed as member secretary.
He said that the committee shall finalise the terms and conditions of the knowledge partner. It will oversee the bid process including the pre-bid conference and pre-qualification of bidders. The committee shall recommend the selected bidder to the Government.
