Ludhiana, May 13, 2013: The Federation of Associations of Small Industries of India (FASII) has congratulated Nawaz Sharif for the success in Pakistan’s general elections.

Being a corporate industrialist he will be more concerned about the economic reforms.

“The Punjab on both side of the countries are land locked and as Sharif belongs to Punjab in Pakistan, the Punjab on this side will also have the better opportunities too”, he said.

The Pakistan’s flagship programme of “National Economic Reconstruction Programme” was started during Sharifs last tenure, he recalled. “And to curb the unemployment he started the intensified privatisation scheme in Pakistan”, he also reminded.

In its letter the FASII have requested the Nawaz Sharif to award the MFN status to India as it is very important for the bilateral trade, the FASII have also requested to cut down the negative list through Wagha as presently only a few items can only be exported by India, he revealed.

Further, he said as Nawaz Sharif remained the victim of Military Rule in Pakistan, he may opt for several military reforms in the coming days which may help India, he said, adding and in the upcoming days FASII is hoping for the better bilateral relations.
