Dharamsala, May 1, 2013: The strong waves of earthquake forced people to come out of the buildings in Dharamsala in Himachal at 12.27 PM on Wednesday.
According to the Wadia Institute, the epicenter was on the border of Himachal and J&K with the magnitude of 5.5 to 5.8 which lasted for 3 to 5 seconds.
Four other mild aftershocks were also observed, the office said.
It further added the jerks were felt upto Uttarkashi in Uttrakhand and the northern region which includes Punjab, Haryana and Delhi.
It may be mentioned here that Dharamsala had observed a deadly earthquake of 7.8 magnitude on April 4, 1905, killing around 19,800 people and injuring thousands in the Kangra area and most buildings were destroyed at Kangra, Mcleodganj and Dharamsala.
