Ludhiana, May 1, 2013: The police on Tuesday handed over cash worth Rs 35 lakh and ornaments worth Rs 40 lakh to the family that was robbed on February 1 this year at Rishi Nagar, a locality post here.
The cash and the ornaments were handed over to the concerned owner of the house Rajesh Jain by the Ludhiana ADCP- III Joginder Singh in presence of the media persons.
It may be mentioned here that three accused had trespassed in the Jain’s house and had committed robbery. The accused included a relative of the affected family.
The accused had assaulted on Rajesh Jain’s wife Sunanda, son and a domestic servant. The accused were arrested within a few hours of occurrence of the robbery.
