Ludhiana, April 20, 2013: An ongoing agitation by the All Industries and Trade Forum took a new turn when the industrialist decided to increase the motion of the resentment regarding various taxes and increase in power tariff by the Punjab Government.
Protest was planned by the All Industries and Trade Forum so that the government should take positive measures in the favour of the industry and common man. Industrialists adopted different measures to lodge their protest. They wore black badges and also gummed stickers against the power hike and other demands on their respective vehicles.
A meeting of the industry under the leadership of Gurmeet Singh Kular Convener of the All Industries and Trade Forum was held here on Saturday, in which it was revealed that Kamal Oswal, Advisor to Deputy Chief Minister Punjab had discussed the problems being faced by the industry and had arranged the meeting with Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister Punjab. Oswal requested Kular to visit the Deputy Chief Minister Office on April 22 with few delegates, to have amicable solution to the problems being faced by the industry and the public.
Among others, the leading industrial leaders Harjit Singh Sondh, Ajit Singh, Baljit Singh Lotey, Manjinder Singh Sachdeva, Charanjit Singh Vishivkarma, Rajeev Jain, Jagatvir Singh, Achhru Ram Gupta, Inderjit Singh Navyug and Jaswinder Singh Thukral were present.
