Trust Building Seminar for Printing and Packaging Cluster, Ludhiana being held.
Ludhiana, April 12, 2013: “Trust hold the Key for the success of Cluster”, was said by Barinder Singh Nagi, Assistant Director, MSME during the Trust Building Seminar for Printing and Packaging Cluster, Ludhiana.
The seminar was held at a local hotel and was second in series of seminars being conducted for the overall benefit of the printing and packaging entrepreneurs of Ludhiana.
These seminars are Part of Soft Interventions sanctioned under MSE-CDP by Development Commissioner, Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India in which Udyog Sahayak, Department of Industries and Commerce, Punjab is an Implementing Agency, whereas Offset Printers’ Association is the collaborator association for the purpose.
Kamal Chopra, General Secretary, Offset Printers’ Association welcomed all the delegates present on this occasion and answered the queries and different question from various printers. He clarified them about the cluster, common facility centre, its formation, working and its benefits to the Ludhiana industry and printers of Ludhiana.
“This is the only way out to stay in competition against international and large scale enterprises, He added. He thanked all the members who gathered in large numbers today as he seeks full support from them during the soft intervention. He informed that besides conducting various technical seminars visit to running clusters in India will also be arranged for the entrepreneurs. He said with the support of Government of India, visit to Pack Print International exhibition going to be held at Bangkok from August 27 to 31, 2013 will also be organised so that the printers can enhance their knowledge about the latest developments in the field, he informed that 50 per cent expenditure on this visit will be shared by the Union Ministry of MSME.
The Seminar on Trust Building, recorded healthy gathering along with the Members from Offset Printers’ Association and Ludhiana Printers’ Association and other printers from Ludhiana.
Barinder Singh Nagi, keynote speaker for the seminar informed the present entrepreneurs about the various norms and regulations required in forming a cluster. He put a light on benefits of working in a cluster as some of the associations from different industries which have already got their clusters approved and today they are working with costs reduced drastically and the benefits being shared equally by the industrialists of Ludhiana. Big achievements can be gained with small starts, he added with example of foundry cluster of Ludhiana which started purchasing raw materials jointly and saved in crores. These are the small initiatives which can be taken even without forming a cluster and profits can be brought wisely.
