HINDU ORGANISATIONS DEMAND: Stop release of `Sadda Haq’ and book it’s Director

Ludhiana, March 31, 2013: A meeting of about a dozen religious organisations from across the city held here on Sunday, to discuss about the forthcoming controversial Punjabi movie `Sadda Haq’ - by OXL Films.

The movie is going to be a sensational flick which will be depicting the real picture ofPunjab during the militancy days of 1980s and ‘90s.

The Rashtriya HinduManchPunjab president Pawan Sharma who also attended the today’s meeting, told City Air News that the today’s meeting strongly feared that certain scenes of the movie were a great threat to unity and integrity of the nation and peace in Punjab. Sharma told that the meeting strongly observed that a few noted terrorists had been presented in a glamorised manner in the movie.

Further, Sharma said the today’s meeting decided to strongly oppose the release of the movie `Sadda Haq’. He said the meeting decided to meet Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana within a day or so to urge upon him to get stop release of the movie. The meeting also demanded that the movie’s Director should be booked under Section 295-A of the Indian penal Code.

The meeting among others was attended by Madan Lal Chopra (Sanatan Dharm Committee), Kewal Krishan Marwaha (Ram Lilla Committee), OP Tripathi (Mahavir Mandir Trust, Gur Mandi), Mohan Upadhaya (Sita Mata Mandir), Prem Prashar (Gyan Sthal Mandir), Jagdish Bajaj (Mandir Committee Punjab), Prem Chand Gupta (Rudra Yag Committee) and Suresh Manchanda (Krishna Mandir, Model Town).

It may be recalled here that Sharma, on Saturday, had sent a representation the Union Minister of State for Informationand Broadcasting (Independent Charge) Manish Tewari, raising almost similar demands.
