Ludhiana, April 19, 2014: Congress candidate from Ludhiana constituency Ravneet Singh Bittu slammed SAD-BJP, stating that the SAD leaders have betrayed farmers while BJP leaders have betrayed urban people. The condition of Punjab has been getting worsen and people have been annoyed with the SAD-BJP alliance. The people of Punjab will pronounce their verdict on April 30.
Bittu was addressing meetings at villages Manakwal, Mehmoodpura, Alamgir, Chupki, Saiyan Kalan, Saiyan Khurd, Killa Raipur, Kheri Jhameri, Hamayunpura, Thakkarwal, Dad, Ayali Kalan, Bains, Jhammat, Ayali Khurd of Gill constituency.
Bittu onslaught SAD-BJP saying that the SAD that pretends itself as well-wisher of farmers, but in these seven years the condition of farmers has turned worsens. The SAD has not announced any agricultural policy.
He further added that in his reign as Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amrinder Singh the farmers had got 8 hours regular power supply in a day to run their tubewells, but in the reign of SAD-BJP alliance the farmers have to wait for hours for power supply. In the reign of Congress the farmers had used to get payment against their crops in 24 hours, on the other hand in the reign of SAD-BJP alliance the farmers have been harassed in the mandis and they have been not getting payments on time.
Bittu further added that the hollow promises can never run a government. Taking dig on SAD-BJP alliance he said that the drug addiction that has multiplied in the reign of SAD-BJP alliance is enough to expose what kind of governance the alliance has been giving to people of Punjab.
He has also met the families that have lost their kin due to drugs. He said that he can feel the pain of those parents who lost their sons due to drug addiction.
He said that everyone including government employee, student, pension holders, industrialist and common people is annoyed with the SAD-BJP alliance.
Slamming BJP Bittu said the BJP has betrayed urban peoples. The BJP leaders have posed as mute spectators when the SAD has imposed property tax on people. He said, the BJP leaders have overlooked the interests of urban people for being in power.
