Ludhiana, April 1, 2014: Dr R.S Sidhu, Dean, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) has been selected as a member of Expert Committee for Research of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) for a period of two years. Dr Sidhu has more than 25 years experience of research in the area of rural credit and agricultural policy analysis.
The broad objective of the committee is to provide guidance for focused research on issues relating to agriculture and rural development under the aegis of NABARD. In particular, this committee will guide NABARD to prioritize research activities financed under its research and development fund. The committee will also help NABARD for widely disseminating its research output generated from in-house and sponsored projects, as well as projecting its research contributions.
