Students honoured during Prize Distribution Function at KMV, Jalandhar on Saturday.

Jalandhar, February 8, 2014: Recognising meritorious performance of its outstanding scholars in diverse streams, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya organised its Annual Prize Distribution function on saturday.
The Chief Guest Tarun Vijay, (Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha) was accorded floral felicitations by the College Principal Dr. Atima Sharma and the presiding dignitary of the function, Chander Mohan, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal. The ceremonies were flagged off with Saraswati Vandana, an invocation to the Goddess of learning.
The college Principal Dr. Atima Sharma, welcoming the distinguished guests, read out the annual report detailing them about the excellent feats performed by the college’s young brilliant learners contributing significantly to take their alma-mater to newer heights of success in academics, co-academics and sports activities. As many as 800 students were given away munificent prizes in the form of trophies, cash and scholarships for their award-winning positions in university. The Department of Biotechnology released its first edition of e-Magazine (2013-14) on this occasion.
Wishing all the prize-winners for their successful and bright future, the chief guest Tarun Vijay, National Spokesperson, BJP congratulated them on their outstanding achievements at various levels. He defined his visit to this premier institution as a pilgrimage to an excellent centre of learning which is an inspirational amalgam of rich cultural heritage, intellect and global vision.
