Gurkirpal and Neha declared as Best Bhangra and Gidha performers

A Musical Day "Rangli Dupahar" being organised at St Soldier College Basti Danishmandan in Jalandhar on Wednesday.

Jalandhar, January 29, 2014: To promote Punjabi culture, values, create awareness about social evils, a Musical Day "Rangli Dupahar" was organised at St Soldier College Basti Danishmandan.

Students participated in folk-song, skit, solo and group dances, kawali, shabad gayan, gidha and bhangra competitions. Students promote culture through "Jugni, Sammi, Charkha,Dhola". Students create awareness in their skit performance on the themes "Maapyan da Bhavikh, Chiri de Kahani, Dahej ek Lahnat."

Gurkirpal and Neha declared as Best Bhangra and Gidha performers. Amandeep, Pradeep and Neelam stood first and second in Folk-Song, Best Actors Saurav, Neha, In Solo Dance Kanwaljit stood first, Priyanka second.
