
Jalandhar, January 10, 2014: Aam Aadami Party (AAP) on Friday succeeded attracting huge gathering in its first public rally at Desh Bhagat Yadgaar Hall here. The party’s national executive member Sanjay Singh said the AAP was committed to its commitments and the promises made with the masses in Delhi during the recently held assembly elections.
Further, Singh said AAP fought the Delhi Assembly elections on the sensitive issue of corruption as it was the need of hour because common man was greatly upset due to corruption and inflation across the country. He added AAP believed in three “C formula” (character verification, no criminal, and no corruption formula). He said AAP would contest all the 13 seats in Punjab and quoted of winnibility would be the major point of view while announcing the names of the candidates for the Parliament elections. He said that the need of time was of an independent inquiry into the drug episode which had really put the people of Punjab in dilemma.
While addressing the media persons Sanjay Singh said that AAP was receiving a warm welcome in Punjab. He said that AAP members were “Aam” that means the party was of “Aam Aadami” (common man). He said that the implementation of taxes, VAT in Punjab had really upset the people of Punjab .He said that the employment opportunities were declining day by day and number of unemployed was increasing.
While reacting to the issue of development he said that he did not feel that Punjab was on the right path of development. He said that Aam Aadami Party did not have any difference of opinion on the issue of religion or caste, every person was welcomed in the AAP.
While commenting on the electricity tariff he said that it was the highest in Punjab. He said that the workers of the party would visit urban and rural areas to motivate the masses with the ideology of the party.
Advocate Harvinder Singh Phoolka, senior Punjab Leaders of AAP Joginder Singh Multani, Media Coordinator Kamal Deep Singh and Himanshu Pathak were among those present.
