Mohali, January 7, 2014: Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today said wild allegations made by a notorious drug lord recently were part of a diversionary move scripted by Pradesh Congress president Partap Bajwa to take the mind of the people away from the ongoing ‘spree of resignations tendered by senior Congress leaders’ threatening his leadership.
Answering a media query regarding Bhola’s allegations after dedicating Punjab Olympic Bhawan at Mohali, Badal said “Eradication of drugs is our top priority as we are committed to end this menace in the State.
He also asked if any criminal levelled hypothetical charges without any substantial evidence against investigation agencies and influential politicians after arrest, could it be construed as authentic.
