Jalandhar, December 27, 2013: Exhibiting the perfect innovation and creativity, the Electrical and Electronics Engineering students of CT Institute of Technology (CTIT) made the spectacular project namely Hybrid Solar Car. The said project has been particularly formulated for the handicapped people; as it will make their fears of driving perish. It will make them cover the long distances without any assistance.
This hybrid solar car works on battery charged from solar energy from the sun. The unique features of this product include very light in weight, no fuel consumption, simple hand gear system, attractive design, controllable speed variation, no pollution, easy to handle & use, innovative design and less cost. As the students of CT Institutions always thrive for new innovations to help society, this product is in line with the motto of research & innovation to help society and make it a better place. The engineering students of B.Tech-7th semester, who have made this car, are, Chanchal, Jyoti,Beauty, Deepa, Kamlesh, Md.Fasihu & Alam.
Talking about the project group leader Chanchal said, “The project provides significant dimensions. We have built this prototype from junkyards. It consists of mechanical, electrical and electronics parts of gear-pulley systems, motors, battery, solar panel, body and frame. It operates on 48 volt battery. The total incurred cost is in the tune of Rs 7,000/- only.”
Feeling ecstatic over the success of the students, Dr. Manoj Kumar, Group Director, CT Group of Institutions said, “Science and Technology has been exponentially growing for last few years. Different prototype designs have been introduced at the science and research platform for different applications to serve the society in a better way and to make this earth, a better place to live. At CT Group of Institutions we are bridging the gap between theory & practice by giving such pragmatic assignment that result into innovations. The project made by the students will really prove to be beneficial for the society.”
