Ludhiana, June 6, 2013: The Summer Internship Programme (SIP) for M.Com (Business Innovations) Students of SCD Government College Ludhiana has taken excellent beginning this year where its students are placed in leading companies and financial institutions.
This year public sector banks like State Bank of India has come forward under its policy and offered with good innovative and imaginative projects absorbing 14 students of M.Com Business Innovations. The State Bank of India has offered Rs. 8000 per month per student as stipend for this two months training programme.
In similar way many leading companies (students abosorbed in numbers in brackets) like IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Limited (1) , Bennet Coleman and Co. Ltd (1) SEL Manufactuirng co. Ltd(2), G.S Auto International Limited (5), , Aarti Steels limited (2), Shreyans Industries Limited(3), Vinayak Textiles Millis Limited (2), Munjal Castings (2), Oswal Woolen Mills (1), Kohli Auto co. Limited (2) , Punjab National Bank (1), Shree Krishna Industries Limited (2) and Vardhman Polytex Limited (2) also absorbed many students of business innovations.
Principal of the College Prof Rajinder Singh has congratulated all the students and faculty members for doing excellent job of intense monitoring of Summer Internship Programme(SIP).
Prof. Rajinder Singh said that main aim of SIP is to provide on the job experience to the students to give them exposure for industrial and service sector environment. He said that faculty of the department has been fully involved in supervising the training project of the students in consultation with the training officer of the organisations where students undertake the project. He said that this year special Summer Training Placement Brochures were prepared and mailed to different companies for absorbing the students in different organisations under Industry-Institute Interface Programme.
Programme Coordinator of the M.Com Business Innovations and Placement Coordinator Dr. Ashwani Bhalla said that this year students are under taking projects like corporate performance measurement using balance score card and EVA, Study of NPA’s in various segment of loans , performance appraisal of employees, study of welfare schemes of employees, appraisal of mobile banking services, Employee’s performance measurement, Potential of Airjet Yarns in global market, working capital management, Customer Satisfaction, Stress Management at Executive Levels, Management Control System, Internet Banking and Potentiality of Agri-Gold Loans.
Dr. Bhalla said that students performance will be evaluated on various parameters after the completion of training like project type and level of Project, understanding about project, thoroughness in skill set, communication skill, confidence level and query handling. He said that all the students will be completing their training schedule till 20th of July, 2013 and submit the project reports by 31st July, 2013.
